Immerse Yourself in Nature
Immerse yourself in the tranquility of the great outdoors
Immerse yourself in the tranquility of the great outdoors
At St. George's Garden and Trails, our mission is to promote physical activity, mental wellness, and an appreciation of nature. We believe that the great outdoors can be a powerful force for good, and we want to share that with as many people as possible. We believe the more people experience nature, the more likely we are to care for it.
Our little town, located on the west coast of Newfoundland, is filled with natural beauty. The Sunset Trail is wonderful way to explore the beauty of our coastal community. While you're here we encourage you to spend the day and visit the Ktaqmkuk Mi'Kmaq Museum to learn about the rich indigenous history of our area. Head up to the RecPlex for a game of bowling or go for a roller-skate, available Monday through Thursday. Visit our small businesses, such as Central Service Station and Chubbs Convenience; have a delicious meal at the Eatery on Main and visit The Main Loft for home decor and gifts.
Thanks to the generosity of the BSG Kinsmen we were able to purchase the materials to build a pedestrian bridge across Man O' War Brook. This will allow trail users to safely cross the brook and allow access to the trail from either side.
The bridge was completed by our dedicated volunteers - thank you!
